Anthony Minghella has passed away. That is so sad. He was an Oscar winning director and was only 54!! Judy Daish, his agent confirmed the sad news.
We say, he directed one of our FAVORITE FAVORITE movies, "The Talented Mr. Ripley". Our thoughts are with his family.
UPDATE: A spokesman for the director said he suffered a brain hemorrhage at 5 a.m. Tuesday morning at Charing Cross Hospital in London, where he had undergone a routine operation on his neck.
