"Idol" cast off David Hernandez-remember? The STRIPPER dancer was in NYC to audition for "RENT" according to TMZ.com. When asked about the show-all he would say was he tried out.

We say, "RENT" goes off Broadway on June 1st-so if he gets it-it's only a "limited-time" job!
